Storytelling: Reworking Steady

I want to rework my Hypercinema final. It’s a video, with music I made, and AI-generated visuals based on photographs I took. Last time, I spent a little too much time on the music and not enough time on editing and stitching together the AI-generated clips in a meaningful way, i.e. incorporating storytelling. I’ll remake the video in the network pattern from Meander, Spiral Explode. I never actually gave it a title before. I’m going to call it “Steady” for now, a name I don’t like.

How will I remake it in a network form? I’d like the segments to have a common structure:

  1. These fiery dudes at the beginning – they should reappear through the video.
  2. Each clip should consist of a person or persons attempting something improbable or difficult, for no apparent reason.
  3. A generally cheerful tone, matching the music, throughout.
  4. Each clip should both begin and end with some recognizable cue – maybe the fiery dudes.

A few more ideas I’m less sure about:

  1. More difficult, might bail on this: try to tie the scenes together.
  2. Introduce some dialogue – subtitles I think.
