I made Wheel with Matthew McClane. We used Stop Motion Studio. I did the editing and the music and Matt helped out with the filming. I used Logic for the music.
I only had a few hours to make the music, so I went with something simple and rhythmic that I could layer onto. I wanted it to fit the length of the video and match the footage. The track starts with a single repeating high hat. The tempo starts slow but quickly increases. I wanted it to be suggestive of a wheel that clicks as it spins, and for the changes in tempo to follow the motion of the wheel.
